Shots

So we've been having quite a few night sessions lately and the crew are always keen to film and shoot aswell.. First session was a wood log we set up in the trees just next to the Nanshan park, such a good night hitting this the speed was perfect wich made it easy to get some different tricks.. Latest sesh was on this jump with a pipe sticking out of it, everyone was pretty tired from a big day on the jumps but still holding it down. Couple of spins and slides going down also Xiao Hu (tiger) getting inverted with some sweet rodeos. Just a peek of some of our shots definately more to come.....

Nike 6.0 Five Gates series ''The Wall''

On saturday was the Nike 6.0 session on the wallride we just set up the other day.. Had such a good day riding with a big crew showing up for it. Good jam went down lots of sweet tricks, few crazy backflip attempts and some good bails as well. Was pretty stoaked to take it out in the end and taking home for a trophy was a massive Nike6.0 battle axe... wicked prize not sure how im supposed to get this thing home tho dont think they like weapons at airports..... Check out the pictures from the day and also the video.

Fireworks non-stop

Happy New Year! Feburary 3rd......

So today is the first day of the Chinese new year, year of the rabbit. From the point we got up yesterday, all day and still ongoing are FIREWORKS!! non stop.... never heard so many in my life. The reason it is on Feb 3rd is because in co-insides with the lunar calender, Chinese new year is a very special holiday here everyone goes back to their home towns and spends time with their families. So for the last few days me Rene and Andrew have been holding down the park NZ styles. Also last night we cooked up some dumplings and had them for dinner as this is the tradition for this holiday. Food, family and fireworks... all good!!

Mellow Parks

On Sunday we rolled up to Nanshan ski field to check out the park, Mellow parks build their park on this hill and film here all season. All the snow here at the moment is man made as it has not rained in months.. Very good for building park but no faceshots for me here... They have just had the Nanshan open here so the park is set up comp styles at the moment which is pretty fun to ride. Check out their website and see what the crew get up to http://www.mellowparks.cn/

Mixing At Mix

The style of drinking at Mix is very cool, you get some mates together and pay for a table 1000yuan (about $200)  and then you can pretty much drink as much as you like. first they bring you chemist test tubes full of RTD's and then they bring you whiskey and mix it with ice tea (best way to drink whiskey)... drinking culture is alot mellower here there are not many fights or arguments everyone is just out to have a good time.

Food

After a goodnight out till the early hours we were very hungry when we woke up, so Andrew took us out for some breakfast.... had some nice bacon and eggs on my mind but forgetting we were in China i was surprised to be served the most common food here..... Noodles. proberbly cost about $2.00nz and the best noodles ive ever had.

Ray and Andrew Walking the streets of Beijing

Welcome To China

So after 35 hours of airports, airplanes and seat sleeping me and Ray finally made it to Beijing to get a warm welcome from our good friend Adrew wilde. From the airport we checked into a hotel and went straight out to one of the coolest clubs in Beijing. The club was called Mix and me and ray soon learned how to drink china styles.. Ganbai (see you at the bottom)!!! After four days of checking out the city and making new friends we decided to head to our home town for the season Nanshan....
